Scholarships and funding
We know that financing your studies is an important consideration which is why we offer a range of scholarships and bursaries that you do not need to repay.
Students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland presently pay tuition fees to study in Scotland. The variable tuition fee is presently £9,250 per year, regulated by the Government.
New for 2022, the RUK (Rest of UK) Travel Bursary of £1,500 will be paid to all new students beginning their studies, identified as an RUK student for fee status purposes. Heriot-Watt appreciates that moving away from home for the first time can be daunting. This bursary should allow you to return home at several points throughout the academic year!

Flexible study options
Scottish degree programmes are designed to include 4 years of study. However at Heriot-Watt University, many students have the opportunity to complete their honours degree over 3 years.
