
A new podcast series, ‘A Future Made’, has been launched by Heriot-Watt University and covers everything from gender inequality in Artificial Intelligence to the impact of the pandemic on global economics.
The seven part series tells inspiring stories from the university and showcases the innovative work being conducted in science, business, technology, design and engineering, all of which is helping tackle global challenges and make an impact on an international stage.
Each episode is hosted by the award-winning scientist, writer and presenter Anna Ploszajski alongside the reporter and podcast producer, Robbie Armstrong. Episode 1 is now available for download and features Prof. Bill Sanderson and Prof. Lindsay Beevers who discuss an ambitious oyster restoration project and flooding solutions.
Robbie Armstrong said: “There is a huge amount of influential research carried out at this University that is aimed at tackling major global challenges including climate change. Through this new podcast series we aim to invite listeners to learn more about this work from those working at the cutting edge and also help inspire future generations to make a difference in the world.”
A new 25 minute episode will be published every second Thursday until December 23. Each will be available for download for FREE on all the major digital platforms including Spotify, Apple and Amazon. To find the most appropriate platform follow this link.
