Heriot-Watt's Dubai campus has been crowned 'Best University' at the first ever Forbes Middle East Higher Education Awards.

Staged in Dubai, the awards recognise and celebrate the region's finest higher education institutes based on votes from students, teachers and the businesses that work with them.

Higher education institutions from across the region were nominated in 22 different categories with Heriot-Watt nominated in three of these.

Representing the university at the ceremony was Vice Principal Bryn Jones who said: “We are delighted to have won Best University in the Forbes Middle East Higher Education Awards. Winning is a validation of the hard work and talent of my colleagues and of our long running reputation for offering high quality British education in Dubai”

Heriot-Watt University opened its Dubai campus in 2005 at the Dubai International Academic City.

Since then, the campus has grown its reputation by delivering world-class education tailored to meet the needs of the United Arab Emirates, the wider Middle East and African economies and employment markets.
