Heriot-Watt has climbed to its highest position in the QS World Rankings 2019.

The University has risen from 312 last year to 302, marking a steady increase of 67 places over the last six years.

The rankings table has been published annually since 2004. It features more than 1000 universities with each measured on a variety of factors including academic reputation and employer reputation.

Among the key findings from the latest rankings period, Heriot-Watt was recognised by many employers for producing high calibre graduates and for its global research.

Welcoming the result Professor Richard A. Williams, University Principal and Vice-Chancellor, said: “This is our highest finish in the QS World Rankings and underlines our reputation as a truly global University.

“It's particularly pleasing to be recognised for our international research, supporting our recent accolade as The Times and Sunday Times International University of the Year.”
