Center of Excellence
Our Postgraduate Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics degrees combine material from the Mathematics and Actuarial Science courses, together with specialist actuarial and statistical skills. It also takes a wide-ranging approach to other areas of advanced mathematics.
Heriot-Watt University are part of the Maxwell Institute for Mathematical Sciences and are recognised as a Center of Actuarial Excellence by the Society of Actuaries (SOA), North America. We are the only Center of Actuarial Excellence in Europe and one of only 30 other schools worldwide with this designation.
