My research interest are broadly in Strategic Management and Business & Management History. My current interests are 1) re-examining the narrative around British industrial ‘decline’ using lens of strategic management; 2) history of globalisation of management education and training; 3) Indian business and management history. Understanding the emergence and development of nature of governance of large organisations, including family firms.
I have published in leading journals such as Business History, British Journal of Management, and Critical Perspectives on Accounting. Currently I am Associate Editor for Journal of Management Development. I also co-edited Special Issue in Business History on Rise of Indian Business in the Global Context in the Twentieth Century. I frequently contribute to The Conversation.
I have designed and delivered teaching at the post-graduate and undergraduate level in Strategic Management, Business Research Methods, Business Models, International Business, Managing in Emerging Markets, and Managing Family Business.
