Javid Karimli

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Javid is currently a PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Heriot-Watt University. He received his MSc from the University of Edinburgh and is affiliated with the SGPE program (Scottish Graduate Program in Economics). His area of research is the empirical application of spatial econometrics in the case of deprivation and regional inequality in Scotland.

Background

During his studies, Javid worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto. Followed by two years of working in the financial sector in Canada. Prior to starting his postgraduate studies, he also had one year of working experience in consulting in a big four company.
