Mei Schulte
Mei is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Heriot Watt’s Dubai Campus. Her research interests pertain to sustainability, CSR, systems thinking, paradoxical cognition, supply chain transparency and strategic management. Supervised by Dr. Dimitris Christopoulos and Dr. Marlene Muller, the PhD research revolves around the wicked problem of sustainability. More specifically, the study deploys a mixed methodology to investigate how corporations can leverage systems thinking to operationalise sustainability strategies aimed at reducing risk, under what conditions these strategies are most effective and how corporations can manage paradoxical tensions and any subsequent change within the system.
