In the UK, 2.5 million people suffer from hand weakness. It can be a result of arthritis, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, carpal tunnel syndrome and stroke. Reaching to grasp objects is the most common arm activity performed in everyday life, hand weakness is devastating to an individual’s independence. We understand the impact hand weakness has on independent living and created our solution: a robotic glove which strengthens grip. Working with sufferers of hand weakness and medical professionals has resulted in a ground-breaking design which has the potential to restore independence among millions in the UK and beyond.
