The Winter 2026 ceremonies will take place in the James Watt Centre located on the Edinburgh Campus.
The online graduation application system for the Winter 2026 ceremonies will open mid-September. The deadline date for applications is 26 October 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Please note - the schedule of ceremonies is based on estimated student attendance. In the event that a ceremony is over or under subscribed, arrangements may be made to change the date/time of your ceremony.
The University also reserves the right to cancel any graduation ceremony and reception for reasons beyond its control. Circumstances may include, but are not limited to: fire, flood, or any other incident that renders the venue unsafe to use; terrorist act (or threat of terrorist act); natural disaster; pandemic or a period of national mourning.
Where any of these circumstances occur, Heriot-Watt University is not responsible for any inconvenience, losses or costs that may be occasioned by such event.
