UCAS Clearing

Cobbled street in Edinburgh which is busy with people walking in different directions.

What is clearing?

Clearing is your opportunity to join us in September 2025. It is a process designed to help you find an undergraduate or foundation course availability for the upcoming academic year with UCAS. You can use clearing if you didn't receive the results you wanted, or simply changed your mind about your chosen university course.

Clearing 2025

Clearing for programmes starting in 2025 will open at the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in July 2025. Full details of the programmes available and how to apply will be available here from August 2025.
