Dr Zakiya teaches Economics and Finance Programs in the Edinburgh Business School, Dubai. She coordinates post graduate AEF Dissertations for the Dubai campus and supervises finance and economics dissertations for both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Biography

Dr. Zakiya has completed her PhD in International Finance from Bharathidasan University in 2019. She has 24 years of experience in teaching at higher educational institutions in India, Saudi Arabia and Online Programs from UK and USA, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)

Research

Her Teaching expertise is in the area of financial management, international finance, corporate finance, investments and fintech.

Her research interests cover ethical finance, Islamic finance, sustainability and inclusion in finance, entrepreneurial finance and fintech applications.

She has consultation experience in the area of entrepreneurial finance, finance for managers, women entrepreneurs and accounting for business

She is also a life and career coaching for youth and women
