The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Centre focuses on advancing research and innovation in Robotics and AI. It provides opportunities for PhD students to engage in cutting-edge research, develop new intellectual property, and contribute to the UAE’s vision for a sustainable, knowledge-driven future. The centre aligns with the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, aiming to position the UAE as a global leader in AI through an integrated approach that employs AI in vital areas.

UAE Centre Model: Local presence, Global Expertise
Modelled on the highly successful Edinburgh Centre for Robotics (ECR), the UAE Centre builds on two decades of expertise and over 150 PhD graduates in Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Our Dubai-based Centre works in close coordination with the UK’s Dependable and Deployable AI for Robotics CDT, ensuring access to global best practices and a collaborative ecosystem. This consortium has the breadth of disciplines, and the depth of knowledge required to address future Robotics and AI challenges and opportunities.
