Mathematical and Computer Sciences

Heriot-Watt university is proud of its international reputation in research and prides in the diverse teaching programmes offered by  a variety of professionals and industrial partners.

The school comprises of three Departments: Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics, and Computer Science, with an academic staff of 122, and over 1,500 students studying at undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and postgraduate research levels across our Edinburgh, Dubai and Malaysia campuses.

The programmes offered at the Mathematical and Computer Science School are very relevant to the current needs of industry, commerce and government. The university prides itself in having high employability of our graduates.
