About

With 12 years of experience in the HE sector, Petya Koleva has had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of students in the UK as well as in the UAE at the undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, Executive MBA levels, as well as with PhD students. Her teaching expertise is in the areas of strategic management, innovation & entrepreneurship, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Biography

Petya Koleva's own research as well as her doctoral dissertation (from the University of Bedfordshire, UK) are with focus on CSR in the Middle East as she has introduced the very first empirical model for Islamic CSR. She is also experienced in creating and offering training based on her own research, as well as consultancy, to executive clients in the Middle East. Her external impact extends to the Academy of Management (US) where she serves as a Committee Chair of the Best Book Award Committee of the Division Social Issues in Management. Her skills and competences have been recognised on a number of occasions. For example, she is a finalist for the prestigious 2019 Best Ethics Paper Award of the Academy of Management, and she has received the 2020 Vice Chancellor Award for improving the student experience at Coventry University. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
