Dr Serge Koukpaki

About

Dr Serge Koukpaki is an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management in the Edinburgh Business School at Herriot University (Dubai Campus). He has teaching expertise in the following areas: Organisational Behaviour; Leadership Theories and Practices, Strategic Management, Leadership and Management, Strategic Human Resource Management; Strategic Leadership; Innovation and Culture Management; Performance Management and Reward Management; Learning and Development, Organisational Culture and Change Management; Employee Resourcing; Employee Relations; Recruitment, Assessment and Selection and Talent Management.

Biography

Dr Koukpaki has a doctorate in Leadership and Management from The Open University at Milton Keynes in the UK in 2013. He is a Senior Fellow of Advance (HE), a Chartered Manager Member of the Chartered Management Institute, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a European Test User Certificate (level 2): Work and Organisational Assessment. He is Registered Certificate in Competence Occupational Testing (British Psychological Society).

Dr Koukpaki was a Module Director at The University Edinburgh  and York Business School for the following modules: Strategic Human Resource Management (postgraduate and undergraduate), Managing Innovation and Leadership (Postgraduate), Managing Organisational Change and Development (Postgraduate), Strategic HRM (Postgraduate), Managing Performance and reward (postgraduate), Training, Learning and Development (postgraduate), Strategic Leadership and Talent Management (postgraduate), HRM (undergraduate), and Managing employee resourcing (undergraduate). He has a strong academic leadership in leading programmes. He was a Programme Director MBA (postgraduate online) Strategic Management (postgraduate) and MSc HRM (CIPD).

Research

Dr Koukpaki research interests are in learning and development, performance management, leadership, fairness in supply chain management, and recruitment and selection. He is an experienced PhD supervisor with two PhDs successfully completed. He is also an experienced in external PhD examination. He supervised over 128 postgraduates in management related to HRM, Leadership, Strategic Management, Performance Management, and Rewards Management. Dr Koukpaki has a strong Research Leadership he is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Public Sociology and Sociotherapy (IJPSS) and in the Editorial Review Board European Journal of Training and Development and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management – Editorial Review Board.
