Dr Hajar Aman Key Yekani

About

Dr Yekani has taught a variety of psychology and statistics courses to our Undergraduate students and has supervised student dissertations. She has also mentored students in designing their projects, building experiments using qualitrics and psychology and guided them through the proper use of statistical analysis for their data.

Biography

Dr Yekani received her PhD in 2019 from Shiraz University in Iran. Her PhD thesis was titled: A Causal Explanation of Academic Achievement: The Role of Cognitive Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Academic Motivation, and Academic Satisfaction.

She started her journey in research from the Cognition & Neuropsychology Research Laboratory at Zayed University in 2015. In 2019, Dr Yekani joined the Heriot-Watt University, Dubai campus as Assistant Professor in psychology.

Research

Dr Yekani has worked in different fields including social psychology, cognition, and language. Her collaborative research covers social issues and implicit attitudes toward them, along with English, Arabic and Persian reading.
