Previous to a career in academia Anton worked as a Designer in womenswear, menswear and accessories in Milan, Italy for international Ready to wear brands before moving to London to work for numerous high street brands as well as extending his skills in to illustrative print design for fashion. With over 10 years design experience at the highest level in design ,Anton moved in to illustration for publishing whilst moving in to academia in the UK and Europe before moving to Dubai: where he has remained for more than a decade. 


Anton has worked as  Programme Director for the BA hons Fashion Programme at heriot watt university Dubai and is now working as External Relations Director for industry and research enterprise on behalf of the School of Textiles and Design Dubai, as well as being a member of the external engagement committee for Heriot Watt University Dubai Campus. His teaching mainly focuses on all aspects of integrated research and design technology through communication design, fashion promotion as well as Interior architecture. He has also worked as an external examiner and lead chair of accreditation for international programmes and governmental educational bodies. 


His research interests have focused on open design, the use of digital technologies and social networking to reshape interactions and user experience design practices through mixed reality. His current research focus is on the use of digital design technology to improve product development processes and sustainability.
