Ron Salden is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the School of Social Sciences.
Biography
Ron Salden received his B. Sc. in Psychology and his M. Sc. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1997 and 2000 respectively. He subsequently did his PhD in Educational Psychology at the Open University of the Netherlands and successfully completed it in 2005.
He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Science department of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA, as a Research Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), USA and as Assistant Professor at the University of Madeira in Portugal. Additionally, he has taught scuba diving courses and ESL classes at several language centres in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Overall, he has over 14 years of experience in conducting research and teaching.
Research
His research interests include human memory, learning technologies, human-computer interaction and cognitive load theory.
Publications
He has published numerous conferences papers and several scientific journal articles.
