Sir Gordon Hourston

Sir Gordon was an ebullient pharmacist who was former chairman of Boots the Chemists. During his 37 years at the company he oversaw the introduction of care home dispensing and introduced a service to collect repeat prescriptions from GPs. He was knighted in 1997 for his services to industry and the armed forces.
