The Speak Out for Engineering is a competition for young engineers designed to help develop verbal and visual communications that explains technical mechanical engineering related subjects, with a focus on conveying technical subjects to those outside of the field. Established in 1964 and organised by the Young Members of the Institution annually, the competition takes place globally, where winners will be invited to participate in the regional stage and subsequently in the Global Finale, where the overall SOfE winner will be crowned.
