David Teoh Xing Qiang, BSc Actuarial Science

I am very glad that I decided to pursue my tertiary education at Heriot Watt University Malaysia. These past four years have been the time of my life. The things that I love about Heriot Watt are the lecturers, the community, and the support I received throughout.   

My lecturers have been very passionate in teaching our class about their various courses, answering our questions, and making themselves available for consultation if we have questions to ask outside of class.  

Being a part of the Toastmasters Club and Society of Actuarial Science EXCO teams had been instrumental in shaping my character and giving me opportunities to lead, make friends, and work together with people who carry the same ideals that I do.  

I also feel supported by the staff of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, having counselling sessions with our Student Success Advisor and Effective learning manager helped me to better manage the difficulties and stress of the university life.  

All in all, choosing to study at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and one that I will continue to be proud of for the rest of my life.
