Masters of Business Administration (MBA) : Yang Fatimah

Yang Fatimah Kamarulzaman currently serves as an Internal Auditor at PETRONAS for downstream business, performing COSO risk-based internal audit encompassing all domestic and international business functions. In addition, she also performs assurance and advisory reviews based on COSO Framework which is in line with International Professional Practices Framework (PPF) standards.

She received a 30% bursary from the 30% Club, a voluntary organisation of senior professionals committed to making business better across more than 20 countries to pursue her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2022 from Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM). Now, she tells her story about her experiences as a Heriot-Watt graduate and an alumnus in Malaysia.

“I really enjoyed the opportunity for me to network with other students, alumni, and professionals from a variety of industries and backgrounds. These networking opportunities helped me build relationships and connections that lead to new job opportunities, mentorship, and professional development.

“Obtaining the MBA can be challenging and demanding, so one needs to be prepared to work hard and dedicate yourself to your studies.
