Virtual Learning Enhancement Service

The VLE team are focused on technical management and development of Canvas. Working with colleagues and external providers to deliver a Virtual Learning Environment that meets the needs of learning and teaching community at Heriot-Watt University. The team design and support the links for Canvas with other institutional systems, working with colleagues in the Student Systems, Examinations and Student Life teams as well as with Registry to ensure that course and enrolment data is correct and consistent. In addition to data feeds to Canvas, the VLE team implement the integration of third party tools, and provide Canvas data for audits and reports. The VLE team, working closely with LTES, keep informed of new features in Canvas, investigate how these might be used to support learning and teaching across our Schools and campuses.
