Maybank recently organised an alumni networking luncheon to gather all Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) alumni that are currently working within the organisation. Around 20 alumni attended the session together with some of the staff from Maybank and the management from HWUM.
The session began with a panel discussion titled ‘Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders: Bridging Education, Innovation and Global Perspectives' with panellists Bruce Pritchard, Chair of Court, Heriot-Watt University; Datuk (Dr) Nora Manaf, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank and Adeline Er, Director in Corporate Banking and moderated by fellow alumnus Joel Tey, Global Maybank Apprentice.
The session continued with an impact statement sharing session by some of the alumni including a sharing by Datuk (Dr) Nicol David, former world squash champion and who is also one of the honorary graduates of HWUM.
“We really appreciate our partners such as Maybank organising events like this, gathering our alumni who are now successfully working in different departments and fields within the organisation and to revisit their impact statements, ensuring they are mobilising their purpose into positive impacts on the world. Partnering with an organisation that is driven by purpose, also makes a great difference to add value in what we do,” said Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi, Provost and Chief Executive Officer of HWUM.
