COMMENTLast month I moaned about the number of passwords that everyone has to remember nowadays. Simon Collery, from the excellent publication Free Pint, sent me the following email: Hi Roddy Firstly, great site. I don't really have the problems you do with passwords. I use Gator (from gator.com) to remember them. I also use it to help fill in online forms, though I haven't put my credit card details in. Gator is not perfect, but there is one other expedient I employ. Passwords are not a security issue in many case, and I just use the same password in almost all cases. There are occasions where you can't do this, but it gives you less to remember and nothing to write down. Regards Simon Thanks Simon! This is what it says at the Gator site: Gator saves you time and hassle. Once you install Gator, you never have to type in the same information again and again on registration or order forms. You never have to remember a password, an account number, or a log-in ID. Gator does it all automatically! On another subject, please note that several new excellent gateways have been added to PINAKES, the Subject Launchpad. Roddy MacLeod
