Our state‑of‑the‑art Bloomberg Suite is home to 16 professional‑standard Bloomberg Trading Terminals, giving finance students hands‑on experience with the tools used by finance professionals worldwide. Through both curricular and extra‑curricular opportunities, students can enhance their employability in areas such as finance and investment management.
Our graduates go on to successful careers in banking, accountancy and finance roles within national and international organisations.
Accreditation
Our Accountancy and Finance programmes are designed with professional practice in mind and many are accredited by leading accountancy and finance bodies. This means students may be eligible for exemptions from selected professional examinations, depending on their degree pathway and modules chosen.
Accrediting bodies include ACCA, AIA, CIMA, ICAEW and ICAS, and some programmes are also affiliated with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
The University is also accredited as a Bloomberg Experiential Learning Partner, reflecting our strengths in applied, real‑world finance education.

My time at Heriot-Watt has been absolutely wonderful.I have been fortunate to make new friends, experience new cultures and benefited the expertise of many lecturers from two campuses.
