Yifu Ou

Dr. Ou is a Marie Curie Fellow at Heriot-Watt University. He also serves as an Associate Editor for All Earth and SN Social Sciences, and is an Editorial Board Member of Discover Environment. His research focuses on urban sustainability, environmental economics and policy, GIS and remote sensing, and transport and land-use planning. He has particular expertise in applying causal inference methods, input–output analysis, explainable machine learning, and geospatial techniques to investigate the impacts of urban development on the environment and human activities using multi-source datasets, including remote sensing and geotagged social sensing data. To date, he has published more than 40 articles in leading international journals, including Sustainable Cities and Society, Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Land Use Policy, and Journal of Environmental Management.
