Biography
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, where I serve as Director of the MA Accountancy and MA Professional Accountancy (Edinburgh) programmes, and Global Director for the MA Accountancy and Finance programmes. I also act as Postgraduate Research (PGR) Lead for Accountancy within the department. My research interests include social and environmental accounting, oil and gas accounting, energy and sustainability accounting, financial and performance management, financial management, taxation and business management.

Background
Prior to joining Heriot-Watt University, I was a Lecturer in Accounting at Abertay University in Dundee. During this time, I held several leadership roles, including leading research seminars and workshops within the School of Business, Law, and Social Sciences. I also served as Deputy Lead of the Sustainable Development & Inclusive Living Challenge Space, contributing to the advancement of research on sustainability and inclusivity.
I currently serve as an Associate Editor for Cogent Business & Management (Taylor & Francis). I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), reflecting my commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and academic leadership. I am currently an External Examiner (DBA) at Teesside University and Canterbury Christ Church University, United Kingdom.
