Dr Hoang Nguyen

Biography

Dr. Hoang Nguyen is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Hoang is interested in the microstructure of financial markets, trading strategies, corporate finance and corporate governance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Accountancy and Finance, Heriot-Watt University (UK)
• MSc in International Finance, SKEMA Business School (France) and Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand)
• BA in Business Administration, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Vietnam)

Background

Hoang worked as a lecturer at Eastern International University (Vietnam) and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Vietnam) before 2015. She completed her PhD at Heriot-Watt University and started working at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School, from 2021, as an assistant professor in Finance. Hoang is a CFA charterholder since 2015.
