Why did you choose to study online with Edinburgh Business School?
It offered me the flexibility to work and also study. I was moving at my own measured pace without the pressure of adhering to strict class attendance.
Why did you choose to complete your chosen programme at this stage of your life and career?
I am at a stage where I have to lead a department which reports into strategic offices of the CEO and the board. I needed skills and knowledge that enabled me to shift from operational to strategic thinking and direction.
What does this achievement mean to you now?
This achievement marks a new chapter in my personal and career life. For personal, I am doing this for my late father who emphasised the value of education and career-wise, it has earned me a seat at the table. I am very happy to finally get to this point.
How did you find the online learning materials?
Very relevant for a busy professional. The learning materials were always designed to support key concepts. Videos supplemented understanding.
What was your favourite course and why?
My favourite couses were Leadership Theory and Practice, which equipped me on leadership, Business Negotiations, where I learned skills on how to approach some deals, and Delivering Successful Projects. My work is focused on achieving small tasks that form an audit process. The Delivering Successful Projects course gave me the skills to manage these activities and a team.
The experience was great. I always felt supported and am so proud to hold a master's from Heriot-watt.
