Edinburgh Business School, the Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University, is committed to providing opportunities to experienced professionals from all over the world who desire to study our graduate level business programmes.
For more than 25 years our programmes of study, particularly our flagship MBA, have enhanced the careers of business professionals globally. Little wonder that over 40% of Fortune 500 companies have employees on the Edinburgh Business School MBA programme.
Across the globe, students are particularly drawn by the academic rigour of the MBA programme, its intellectual challenge and its ability to greatly enhance their career prospects.
The part-time MBA is delivered over a two year period at the Heriot-Watt University Malaysia campus and is geared to the needs of business professionals who want a range of skills and expertise for which the programme is renowned.
To this new state-of-the-art campus at Putrajaya, we bring a powerful combination of our UK faculty (who regularly fly to Malaysia to bring cutting edge best practice to our part-time MBA students), top academics from Asia, and a new generation of executive level students who can combine their careers with a rewarding part-time study programme.
At the campus, we have a dedicated MBA programme director, and a student advisory team with in-depth knowledge of our MBA programme. This team will be happy to answer any queries. We also conduct regular MBA previews for those who want to know more about our School and our programmes in Malaysia.
Teaching and assessment
Teaching, which is delivered over a series of two years of weekend seminars and revision classes, enables a dynamic combination of students with diverse experiences, backgrounds and cultures to share and exchange knowledge in a rich learning environment. These intensive weekend seminars are delivered in English by top faculty from the UK and Malaysia.
Seven core courses and two elective courses are required for the MBA degree. Students will benefit from 48 hours of tutored interaction for each core course from top faculty. A large amount of time will be spent studying independently (approximately 200 hours per course). Each course is assessed by a 3 hour written examination. Students may also opt to do their examinations by e-assessment.
