Studying at Heriot-Watt opened numerous doors for me in the construction industry. I began my career as a Quantity Surveyor for a year before moving on to a role as a BIM Engineer with one of Malaysia's largest contractors. About a year and a half ago, I seized the opportunity to advance my career as a BIM Engineer in Hong Kong. I consider my time at Heriot-Watt a pivotal stepping stone that has significantly shaped my professional identity.

One of my fondest memories is studying abroad with friends and meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Beyond academics, I believe in the importance of well-rounded experiences. I joined various extracurricular activities, including the dance club and coffee club at the Malaysian campus. My passion for music led me to participate in the orchestra at the UK campus, where I had the privilege of performing as a flutist.

I participated in the Go Global programme, transitioning from the Malaysia campus to the Edinburgh campus. This experience was truly eye-opening, as it marked my first time living away from home. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, fostering independence and encouraging me to make new friends in a foreign environment. I also took advantage of my semester break to travel around Europe with friends, which was unforgettable.

There are several compelling reasons to choose the BSc in Quantity Surveying at Heriot-Watt University.
