Profile

Heriot Watt provided me some great opportunities that shaped who I am today. I got to lead in the classroom in the form of presentations and group projects involving BIM and VDC. In my second year, my classmates and I represented the university at a conference to present our ideas in front of academics and industry professionals. In my final year, I participated in an eight-month long property development challenge hosted by one of the top local developers which gave me a complete experience on how to work with others and tackle the practical and commercial aspects of real-world construction scenarios.

These experiences have really helped me to develop a structured way of thinking. What started as a training ground at the university has turned out to be incredibly useful in my current role at Turner, where I handle contract, commercial matters and manage clients.

The programme provided me with a well-rounded understanding of how to handle commercial and contractual aspects of a project. Which helped me to adapt fast. You are also encouraged to speak up and present your ideas. Ultimately, it's up to you to capitalise on that. Regular sharing sessions from industry experts during my time at the university also helped me to visualize my career ahead.

I would like to thank my lecturers, I know they are a passionate team that is dedicated to helping the students grow and I hope they continue to do so. Their guidance has made a huge impact on my professional journey.
