Secretariat
The Secretariat provides support to the Court, the Senate, the University Executive, and the committees of each, and assists the University Secretary in promoting good standards of governance across the University.
This involves a variety of tasks throughout the year, including clerking committees, supporting the Court and Court Committee Members recruitment process, running elections for Academic Deans, reviewing the University's Charter and Statutes, and updating the Ordinances and Academic Regulations.
The goals of the Secretariat team are to:
- uphold the University’s good governance policy and practices, reflecting its values and contributing to its core strategic ambitions;
- share expertise and best practice across the University;
- adapt and enhance the service to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders; and
- apply fresh thinking to improve our effectiveness and efficiency.
