The School of Engineering and Physical Sciences offers teaching and research opportunities at the forefront of industry and academia across six key subject areas.
Academic collaborations
Across the School, we have a number of significant academic collaborations across teaching and research. These include the Scottish Funding Council research pooling initiatives between Scottish Universities in engineering (EPRem), in chemistry and chemical engineering (ScotCHEM), and in physics via the Scottish University Physics Alliance.
The School plays a key role in two high profile Doctoral Training Centres: one providing industrial doctorates in photonics, digital tools and microsytems, and the other, a collaboration with Edinburgh and St. Andrews Universities in condensed matter doctoral training.
At the undergraduate and postgraduate level we have a number of joint degree programmes with institutions both in the UK and abroad, delivering a wide variety of degrees at different levels.
