Project title
Making Natural Flood Management at the catchment scale a reality: An investigation of the barriers and spatial disconnection between NFM investments and beneficiaries
Project abstract
Natural Flood Management (NFM) involves the use of wetlands, leaky dams, ponds, and other features to slow the flow of water and reduce flood risk downstream. While there are many benefits of NFM, it is difficult to implement at catchment scales due to a range of barriers. This project investigates the challenge of NFM upscaling, using a serious game to simulate the barriers and motivators of NFM.
