Terrestrial Environmental Science research focuses on soil ecology and the biogeochemistry of polar, agricultural and the biogeochemistry of polar, agricultural and urban systems.

The Nano Safety Research Group (NSRG) specialises in the assessment of nanomaterial hazard to the environment.
