Learning and Teaching Strategy

Inspiring Learning: Heriot-Watt University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy 2018-2025 outlines our strategic ambitions for learning and teaching across all global campuses. It aligns with the Pioneering Education theme of the University’s Strategy 2025, and was formally approved by the University Executive on 11 December 2018 and by Senate on 13 December 2018.

Work is currently underway to develop Strategy 2035, Heriot-Watt’s next institutional plan, which will build on the ambitions of the existing Learning and Teaching Strategy and shape the future of learning across our global campuses. To support continuity during this transition, the Learning and Teaching Strategy (2018-2025) has been extended to June 2026.
