Known as the Tulip Tree or White Wood. Native to N.E. America. Can reach 50 metres (165 feet) tall in its natural habitat. This specimen is around 12-14 metres (40-45 feet) tall. The flowers are pale green or yellow. Foliage turns a super golden yellow colour in Autumn. The tulip tree is a major honey plant in Eastern North America due to the large amounts of nectar it produces. The wood is widely used in construction and organ making.
