Nazim's journey at Heriot-Watt began in 2024, when he took a leap of faith to pursue his master’s degree in Reservoir Evaluation and Management. Leaving his family behind in Azerbaijan was one of the hardest decisions of his life. While a full year away felt overwhelming, it was a necessary sacrifice to fulfil his dream of studying at one of the world’s highest-ranking universities.
Throughout his journey, Nazim has had the privilege of studying alongside incredible group mates who trusted him enough to select him as the group representative. Their support and friendship made this experience unforgettable.
Beyond academics, Nazim tried to stay active and balanced by spending time at Oriam, pushing his limits, and even winning the Push-Up Championship. These moments shaped and strengthened Nazim, reminding him of the importance of discipline and dedication.
Today, Nazim proudly holds his master’s degree, awarded with Merit. This achievement is one he dedicates to his family, close friends, and most importantly, to his daughter Amelia, with whom he shares the strongest bond.
Nazim is grateful for every challenge, every lesson, and every person who was part of this chapter, which has paved the way for new beginnings and the journey ahead.
