The MA (Hons) International Business Management programme will allow you to develop knowledge, understanding and subject skills related to the principles and practice of modern business management. You’ll understand statistical techniques that are appropriate to business. You’ll be provided with opportunities to explore and develop links with industry, which will prepare you for employment in a variety of management careers. 

During this degree, you’ll develop important transferable skills including critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork. You’ll also develop creativity skills and will build on your confidence and research abilities which will help you succeed in your career and personal life.  

Each course will equip you with highly employable expertise and skills across business management. Throughout this four-year degree, you’ll have the opportunity to choose optional courses – from human resource management, operations, marketing, and consumer behaviour – to customise your learning and develop your specific business management interests. Your dissertation will allow you to engage in an independent in-depth critical examination of a particular business management topic, which is of interest to you.

Entry requirements

We have standard entry requirements for all of our courses that you will have to meet.

Standard entry requirements for the first year of our MA (Hons) International Business Management are as follows:

  • Scottish Highers of AABB
  • A-Levels of BBC - ABB
  • International Baccalaureate 29 points
  • BTEC awards of DDM (in relevant subjects; business, accountancy or finance preferred.)
  • HNC of B in graded unit (Business preferred)
  • HND BB

Minimum entry requirements for the first year of the course include*:

  • Scottish Highers of BBBC
  • A-Levels of BBC - ABB

* Under our Fair Access Policy, we will relax our standard entry requirements for Scottish students depending on their circumstances. Our minimum requirements will apply if you live in an area within the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation lowest 20% (SIMD20), or are care experienced.
