Undergraduate study

Our foundation programmes are an alternative route to your chosen degree, offering direct entry into the second year of study across our undergraduate degrees.

Applications to our foundations programmes are open to students from Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and overseas. Please refer to our 'How to apply' guide below for further information on applications for our September and January entry dates, and more details on where to apply.

For international students a key benefit of applying for the four-year programme is that the University would be able to sponsor you now for a visa that covers the entire duration of your foundation year and subsequent degree programme. To be eligible for the four-year programme your English must be at a level equivalent to CEFR Level B2. See our English language requirements for more information.

How to apply

Applications from those living in the UK to our foundation programmes, for September entry, should made online through the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Applications from those living in the UK to our foundation programmes, for January entry, should be made directly via our online application form. Please note applications from those living in Scotland may be paused due to an annual cap set by the Scottish Funding Council (SFC).

Applicants from overseas can choose to apply via UCAS or directly via our online application form for September entry. All overseas applications for January entry should be made directly via our online application form.

We offer September and January intakes for most of our programmes in the Global College. Please check the course pages for any applicable deadline.
