Chinese New Year Scholarship

We're offering scholarships of up to £6000 with our Chinese New Year Scholarship, to be applied as a tuition fee discount, to international applicants who:

• Complete the Application form above by 3rd March 2026
• Submit an application to study with us and upload any required supplemental items to ensure your application is marked complete by 3rd March 2026
• Receive a Conditional or Unconditional offer
• Are confirmed as 'Overseas' for fee status purposes

The award will be applied as follows based on your course fee:

• A £2000 award where programme fees are up to £23,000
• A £4000 award where programme fees are between £23,000 and £26,000
• A £6000 award where programme fees are over £26,000

Upon receiving an offer, applicants must accept the offer so that the offer type becomes Conditional Firm or Unconditional Firm.

Those with a Conditional or Conditional Firm offer type must meet any and all specific requirements as stated on the offer letter to meet their conditions and receive an Unconditional Firm offer.

Important Dates

• You must apply between: 17th February and 3 March 2026
• Start of studies: September 2026

Please be aware the Chinese New Year Scholarship is not to be used in conjunction with any other Heriot-Watt scholarship.

Applicants who require a visa to study in the UK are also reminded to complete this process in plenty of time to be issued with a CAS number and take the necessary steps to obtain a visa, in time to arrive in the UK and fully enrol to commence their studies on Monday 14 September 2026.
