Important dates
For Global College Malaysia - Malaysia Foundation Programme:
- Welcome Week aka Fit-for-Future: 28 – 30 April 2026 (Welcome Week Schedule is available in Step 7 below)
- Commencement of classes: 4 May 2026
For Postgraduate and MBA Programmes:
- Welcome Day: 2 May 2026 (Welcome Week Schedule is available in Step 7 below)
- Commencement of classes: 4 May 2026 (for all postgraduate programmes)
New student checklist and guides
The new student Guide and checklist will take you through the 7 practical steps that you should complete and take note BEFORE you start your Welcome Week and studies with us.
Important Note:
It is important to note that Step 0 is a prerequisite that must be completed before proceeding with the rest of the steps (i.e., Step 1 to Step 7). Step 0 serves a foundational requirement for all subsequent actions to take place.
Reply to offer
Your offer to study at Heriot-Watt University is stated in your Decision Letter. To view your Decision Letter, please login to your application account.
Once login, please click on View > Decision history > Decision Letter > Response Now
The status of your offer may fall into one of the following categories and hence, will require your prompt action specified in the 'Action needed' column below: -
| Status of Offer | Description | Action needed |
|---|---|---|
| Conditional | You will need to achieve further qualifications or provide additional supporting documents before you are accepted. | Fulfil the conditions stated in the Decision Letter and inform your Education Consultant. |
| Unconditional | You have fulfilled all requirement and your application is successful. | Reply to your offer. |
Should your offer status in the system be marked as 'unconditional', and you wish to accept the offer, we request that you promptly accept the Unconditional Offer by clicking the designated 'accept' button within the system. Upon you accepting your Unconditional offer, your offer status will be converted to 'Unconditional Firm'.
Following the change to 'Unconditional Firm' status, you will receive an email from studywithus@hw.ac.uk, containing your HWU username and email address. With these credentials in hand, you are ready to proceed with the next step outlined below.
Upon completing the above, in the unlikely event that you do not receive your Heriot-Watt username and email address (from studywithus@hw.ac.uk) prior to your Welcome Week, please contact hwum-welcome@hw.ac.uk
Remember, university is more than just sitting in a lecture theatre. The sections below will give you more information on the different aspects of your university experience and the opportunities available to you while studying at Heriot-Watt.
