Our wellbeing events give you the opportunity to take a small break from busy university life to focus on your own physical and mental wellbeing. It is also a great way to meet other students and your support staff.

There is no need to register in advance, unless specified. If you have any questions about the activity or any accessibility requirements you would like to tell us about in advance, please contact studentsuccess@hw.ac.uk

January Semester

• Welcome and Wellbeing Hub | 13 January, 15.00-16.00 @ Hugh Nisbet Corridor
  Explore wellbeing services and leave or read anonymous advice from returning students on our "Message to a New Student" wall.

'Ask a Recent Graduate' | 20 January, 11.30-12.30 @ Hugh Nisbet Corridor
  Connect with recent graduates who are now Student Success Advisors and ask questions about study habits, assessments, campus life, or anything you're curious about.

• Study Tips Station | 3 March, 11.30-12.30 @ Hugh Nisbet Corridor
  Grab quick study tips from current students and recent graduates to boost your assessment prep. Add your own idea to the One Tip, One Takeaway Wall and pick up a new tip from someone else.

• Assessment Checklist Hub | 24 March, 11.30-12.30 @ Hugh Nisbet Corridor
  Explore a clear assessment checklist to help you stay on track during exam time, and chat with recent graduates about stress and study strategies. 

• Reset & Recharge: Assessment Support Corridor Event | 24 April, 14.30-15.30 @ Hugh Nisbet Corridor
  Discover simple, practical ways to look after yourself during assessment season and connect with support staff - including recent graduates who’ve been exactly where you are. Stop for a chat, pick up wellbeing resources, and add your favourite way to unwind to our community wall.

Drop-ins

The Student Wellbeing Services run daily drop-ins during the September and January semesters. Students can have a 15 minute supportive conversation and ask any questions they may have. All of them take place in the Student Wellbeing Centre. There is no need to sign up in advance, although we recommend arriving towards the start of the hour as we have limited capacity and operate on a first come, first served basis.

Disability: 11am-12pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the September and January semesters.

Student Success Advisors: 12-1pm, Monday-Friday during the September and January semesters.

Counselling: 2-3pm, Monday-Friday during the September and January semesters.
