Career mentoring programme

The Career Mentoring Programme at Heriot-Watt University Dubai is an exciting initiative run by the Careers Service, encouraging students to focus on long-term career planning. Mentoring is a means by which individuals learn and develop. As with all successful business relationships, mentoring involves regular meetings between the parties involved and a willingness to make the relationship work.

What is a Career Mentor?

A Career Mentor is an experienced and trusted advisor who will encourage and support you to make informed choices and support you in achieving your professional goals. Although final decisions are always in your hands, a mentor can be invaluable in guiding you to identify the support you need, consider your options and get new information.

For more information on the benefits of being a mentee and the guidelines of the programme, please refer to the Mentee Guide at the bottom of the page

In order to be a mentee, you are required to be a third-year student studying any of our taught programmes at Heriot-Watt University.

Being a Career Mentor

The programme is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to guide and support our students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys.
