Application and award process
After an initial discussion with the Innovation Development Manager (IDM), we will identify that the innovation is a good fit for the support available. The next stage is to complete either a £5k (‘Develop’) or £25k (‘Adopt’) innovation grant application form. The IDM will work with applicants in completing the relevant form, which are available here [insert link to both forms]. Forms attached to email.
After an innovation grant application form has been completed it will be submitted for review by an Industry Advisory Board, which comprises a mix individuals from across the private, public and third sectors. Collectively they bring a wealth of entrepreneurial, business support and innovation experience to review applications and make a decision on whether or not to award funding. Importantly, their feedback to applicants on submitted applications will, where possible, include advice on potential opportunities to leverage complementary or other sources of financial support and guidance, depending on whether or not an application has been successful.
After a decision has been made to award an innovation grant, applicants will be supported by the IDM in entering into a formal agreement to govern the award of funding and with the undertaking of a project.
