Biography
I gained my PhD in mathematics at Imperial College London in July 2012. I then moved on to a postdoc in Warwick and then held a Chapman Fellowship at Imperial for a year. In October 2014 I moved to the Mathematics Department at Heriot Watt as an Assistant Professor, and I have been there since - as a full Professor since August 2024.
My background is in analysis and stochastic analysis and in time my research interests have evolved towards applied mathematics, mathematical ecology in particular.
I am an active member of the National and International mathematical community, through my editorial work, serving as a member of the European Mathematical Society and having been in many EPSRC panels. One of the parts of my job I enjoy the most is working with PhD students - and I have been incredibly lucky, having had the pleasure of supervising so many great students.
