Christian Saemann

I was born in Fulda, Germany. I studied in Würzburg and Austin, Texas, from where I graduated with an MA in Theoretical Physics. I continued my studies in Mathematics and Physics in Paris and Hanover and completed my PhD in 2006. After postdoctoral positions at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Trinity College Dublin, I arrived at Heriot-Watt University with an advanced postdoctoral fellowship. I became a lecturer in 2011 and an associate professor in 2015. In 2019, I was promoted to full professor.
